O Illustration Friday é um site que envolve artistas e ilustradores do mundo todo. Nele, toda sexta-feira (por isso, Friday) é publicado um novo tópico, um tema no qual os participantes devem se basear para criar seus desenhos e ilustrações.
Depois de feita a arte, basta que ela seja publicada em um website ou blog do próprio artista/ ilustrador e, em seguida, deve-se entrar no Illustration Friday e seguir as instruções para enviar o trabalho. A partir daí, o trabalho fica exposto na galeria para todos verem.
Com essa iniciativa, artistas iniciantes (como eu!) têm duas boas oportunidades: um desafio semanal para exercitar a criatividade e – para mim, o principal – "sair da concha" e mostrar o que faz para as pessoas.
